About the Presenter

Dr. Julie Song earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the SUNY College of Optometry and stayed on at the College to complete her residency in Cornea and Contact Lens with an emphasis in Anterior Segment and Ocular Disease. Dr. Song graduated with many awards including the prestigious Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence and the Johnson and Johnson Excellence Award for Excellence in Clinical Contact Lenses. Upon completion of her residency, she became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society, and was the inaugural award winner of the Visionary in Eye Care Resident Recognition Award in the “Best in Optometry” category. Dr. Song has delivered numerous COPE-Approved lectures, presented many posters at academic conferences, and published articles on cornea and contact lenses. She currently works in New York City seeing specialty contact lens patients.
