About the Award

This award is intended to inspire the 2024-2025 GPLI residency class to reflect on their residency using gas permeable lenses and what the GPLI organization and symposium means to them. A grant of $1000 will be awarded to the top two GPLI resident applicants (see details below) attending the 2025 Global Specialty Lens Symposium. The gift is from former cornea and contact lens residents and GPLI friends who wish to “pay it forward.”

The submission window closes November 1, 2024.

Submission Requirements

Applicants must submit both a clinical/scientific abstract and a video testimonial.
Applicants must be attending the Jan 15-18, 2025 GSLS in Las Vegas, NV.

Abstracts:
Abstracts can be the same submissions for AAO, GSLS or ARVO. Completed posters will be weighted higher.

Video Testimonial
By submitting your video, you consent to allow the GPLI to publish this video on their website, social media, and other public spaces or presentations. The video should be no more than 2-3 minutes long and must describe your current residency experience and what you gained from the GPLI residency symposium that is helping you in your patient care, teaching and/or research. How do you see yourself giving back to the profession and the GPLI?

The award will be presented and the recipients recognized at the GPLI Rising Stars ceremony on Saturday evening, January 18, 2025 at GSLS.
